Privacy Policy
1.0 Applicability
Europoint Systems values its relationship with its User and respect User’s right to privacy. Europoint Systems Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") covers the treatment of information that Europoint Systems collects and maintains about its User in regards to use of the Europoint Systems websites and use of QuoteStation products and services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Europoint Systems does not own or control or to individuals whom Europoint Systems does not employ or manage, including operators of sites User may link to, or from the Europoint Systems websites or from which the User links to the Europoint Systems websites. By using the Services and/or accessing Europoint Systems websites, User acknowledges that he or she has read and understood this Privacy Policy and consents to the practices described herein.
In addition, if the User registers as a Subscriber of any of the features of Europoint Systems websites or as a QuoteStation user, during the registration process (and from time to time as Europoint Systems may require) User may be prompted to click an “I Accept,” “Submit” or similar button, which further confirms User’s consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2.0 Scope of Policy
This Privacy Policy applies only to information User provides to Europoint Systems online or that Europoint Systems obtains in connection with use of its websites (or any service offered through the Europoint Systems websites) or through any Europoint Systems websites that Europoint Systems operates or has acquired. It does not apply to information obtained offline or through other non-electronic means.
3.0 What Information Europoint Systems Collect and Uses
Europoint Systems reserves the right to use and control the information collected on the Europoint Systems websites. Europoint Systems will not share this information with any third party, other than as disclosed in this Privacy Policy. Europoint Systems collects information from users at different points on Europoint Systems websites and through QuoteStation application, as follows:
3.1. Registration: In order to subscribe to QuoteStation products and services, User must complete a registration form. This form may ask for contact information, such as name, address, email address, telephone number, company name, fax number and other basic contact information (“Registration Information”). After submitting Registration Information, User can view and modify this information within the self-maintenance area of the Europoint Systems websites. User agrees to notify Europoint Systems of any change to his billing address within fifteen (15) days of such change.
3.2. Orders and Requests: When User subscribe to a QuoteStation product or service, Europoint Systems request the appropriate billing information on order form. This information includes User’s credit card number, expiration date and billing address (“Order Information”). Order Information is kept with User’s Registration Information in a database and will be retained for future purchases. User may also provide personal information to us when he voluntarily communicates with us, such as for requesting information or submitting an application for employment. Europoint Systems may retain such information for use and disclosure consistent with this Privacy Policy.
3.3. QuoteStation application: While accessing and operating a QuoteStation product, the QuoteStation application will record general statistical and tracking information, such as the date and time a client accesses his or her product and the time spent using it. The QuoteStation application transfers this information to QuoteStation’s servers, and such information is used exclusively for internal resource management purposes.
3.4. Other: QuoteStation may automatically receive and record information in QuoteStation server logs from User’s browser, including IP address (the Internet address of User’s PC), computer’s name, the type and version of web browser, referrer addresses and other generally-accepted log information. Europoint Systems may also record page views (hit counts) and other general statistical and tracking information, which will be aggregated with that of other users in order to understand how Europoint Systems websites are being used.
3.5. Cookies: A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes unique, but anonymous, code, which is sent to User’s browser from website’s computers and stored on User’s computer’s hard drive. Cookies can be used to provide User with a tailored user experience and to make it easier to use the Europoint Systems websites upon a future visit. QuoteStation will also use cookies to recognize User when he returns to Europoint Systems websites. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default, though User can manually disable the cookies feature of User’s browser. User should review the online documentation of his browser or consult with the provider of browser for instructions on how to disable cookies. Please note that if cookies are disabled on User’s computer, some parts of the Europoint Systems websites may not function properly.
3.6. Referrers: A “referrer” is the information passed along by a web browser that references the web URL User linked from and is automatically collected by Europoint Systems web server. This information is collected and used by Europoint Systems to understand the Europoint Systems websites referring traffic to websites and to present appropriate content to QuoteStation potential customers. Europoint Systems tabulates referrer information on an aggregate basis to identify trends and traffic patterns.
3.7. Computer Configuration: In order to determine whether User’s computer is supported by system, Europoint Systems may collect certain anonymous information. This information includes, but may not be limited to, User’s operating system and browser, as well as the presence of the QuoteStation application or other third party software on User’s computer. This information is kept strictly confidential and is not shared with third parties, except as provided in this Privacy Policy.
4.0 What Europoint Systems Do with Information
In general, except as provided in this policy, Europoint Systems will not disclose User’s personally identifiable information to unaffiliated third parties without his express consent or allowing User to decline to permit the disclosure. There are, however, some limited circumstances in which Europoint Systems may need to disclose personally identifiable information about a user without express consent, including, but not limited to, the circumstances set forth below:
4.1. QuoteStation Europoint Systems website Vendors and Intermediaries: Europoint Systems may employ other companies to perform functions on Europoint Systems behalf, such as fulfilling orders, providing customer service, sending print and electronic mail, processing credit card payments, or other functions necessary to Europoint Systems business. In order to allow these companies to perform their obligations, Europoint Systems may need to share User’s personally identifiable information with them. However, Europoint Systems will provide these companies with only that information necessary to perform their functions on Europoint Systems behalf, and Europoint Systems will not allow them to use User’s personally identifiable information for any other purpose.
4.2. Resellers: Europoint Systems may from time to time enter into agreements with companies that resell QuoteStation’s products or services, either on Europoint Systems behalf, or on their own behalf on a private labeled basis and/or on a co-branded basis. Under the terms of these agreements, Europoint Systems may be required, and therefore Europoint Systems reserve the right, to share User’s personally identifiable information with such resellers. Once User’s personally identifiable information is provided to such resellers, it will no longer be covered by this privacy policy. In those instances, User’s personally identifiable information will be governed by the privacy policy of the resellers to whom it is provided. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Europoint Systems will not share User’s Order Information with any reseller that is not billing User directly for the re-marketed, private labeled and/or co-branded QuoteStation services to which User subscribe.
4.3. Publishers and Merchants: Europoint Systems reserves the right to provide to publishers and other merchants for whom Europoint Systems sells or distributes products or services any personally identifiable information as is necessary to fulfill any requests User may make for their products or services. In addition, merchants of the products User purchase or to which User subscribe through QuoteStation and/or Europoint Systems website may request additional personally identifiable information from User. Europoint Systems will provide the merchants of such products the information User supply in response to those requests and, following such disclosure by Europoint Systems, User’s personally identifiable information will no longer be covered by this policy. In those instances, User’s personally identifiable information is governed by the privacy policy of the merchants whose products User have purchased or to which User have subscribed.
4.4. Protection of Rights: Europoint Systems may reveal User’s personally identifiable information to attorneys, private investigator organizations or law enforcement agencies if Europoint Systems believe that User have harmed or interfered with; (or will imminently harm or interfere) other QuoteStation users or anyone else or violating (either intentionally or unintentionally) website Terms of Use or infringing any of QuoteStation’s legal rights, or harming the legal rights, property, or health or safety of any other person.
4.5. Required by Law: Europoint Systems will reveal User’s personally identifiable information, to the extent Europoint Systems reasonably believe that it’s required to do so by law. If Europoint Systems receive legal process calling for the disclosure of any of User’s personally identifiable information Europoint Systems will attempt to notify User via the email address supplied during registration within a reasonable amount of time before Europoint Systems respond to the request, unless such notification is not permitted.
4.6. Asset Transfers: Europoint Systems shall be entitled to transfer to a third party information it maintains, including any personally identifiable information, in connection with a transaction or proceeding involving a transfer of some or all of the assets relating to the Europoint Systems websites and/or QuoteStation product and services or a business in connection with which such information is maintained.
5.0 Changing or Removing Personal Information;
To ensure that User have appropriate control over his personally identifiable information, User can access his account (after supplying username and password) in the Self-Maintenance area of Europoint Systems websites to update and/or correct the information User has previously submitted.
6.0 Communications to Users
6.1. Europoint Systems: Europoint Systems sends emails and/or postal mailings to new subscribers and to provide to existing subscribers information regarding their specific QuoteStation products. Periodically, Europoint Systems will send news and information to subscribers and other parties who have expressed interest in QuoteStation and its products. For so long as User uses QuoteStation products and services or otherwise maintain a business relationship with Europoint Systems, however, User may not opt out of receiving communications from Europoint Systems relating specifically to those products and services or business relationship.
6.2. Third Parties: Except as described in this Privacy Policy, Europoint Systems do not share personally identifiable information with anyone, unless Europoint Systems has informed User of a change to Europoint Systems Privacy Policy and given User the opportunity to then choose to opt out. Europoint Systems can no longer update any of User’s personally identifiable information once it has been transferred to such third parties and cannot implement or impose User’s opt out requests upon such third parties. Instead, User must either contact that third party or refer to its privacy policy to update User’s personally identifiable information or to let the third party know that User no longer want to receive promotional and/or marketing information about its products, services or offerings.
7.0 Security of Personally Identifiable Information
Europoint Systems maintains control to protect the financial information User provide us, including credit card details, during the product purchase process.
Europoint Systems employees are required to acknowledge that they understand and will strictly abide by Europoint Systems corporate policies with respect to the confidentiality of personally identifiable information. Moreover, Europoint Systems only gives access to databases containing personally identifiable information to employees on a need-to-know basis.
Accordingly, Europoint Systems have put in place security systems designed to prevent unauthorized disclosure of information User provide to us. These systems are structured to prevent hackers and others from accessing this information. Due to the nature of Internet communications and evolving technologies, however, Europoint Systems cannot provide, and disclaim, assurance that the information User provide us will remain free from loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties who, despite Europoint Systems efforts, obtain unauthorized access.
8.0 Notification of Changes
Europoint Systems reserves the right to change or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, or to terminate this Privacy Policy. Europoint Systems will post notice of the new policy from the Privacy Policy link on the homepage of Europoint Systems websites. Use of Europoint Systems websites following any such change constitutes User’s agreement to follow and be bound by the Privacy Policy, as changed. If Europoint Systems make any significant changes regarding disclosure of personally identifiable information to third parties, Europoint Systems will attempt to notify User prior to the date the modified policy takes effect.
9.0 Relationship to Europoint Systems website Terms of Conditions
Europoint Systems obligations with respect to use of the Europoint Systems websites are reflected in this Privacy Policy and website Terms of Use and any additional terms of services that may be applicable.
10.0 User’s Consent
By using Europoint Systems websites or QuoteStatiion web application , user consent to Europoint Systems collection and use of personal information, in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If User does not agree with some, or all of the terms of this Privacy Policy, User may not become a Subscriber/User, or otherwise use QuoteStation application and website.
