QUOTESTATION PROXY CONNECTION

The newest version of QuoteStation web application now enables usage of the service to the users who use Proxy server for Internet connection.

INSTALLATION

In order to install the application, you must follow the procedure:

• Click on the link Download QuoteStation Proxy App.

• In the window that appears, please choose the way you would like to install the QuoteStation:

DOWNLOAD - download the file QuoteStation.exe, and click on the installation icon to install the application on your PC.

RUN - Chose this option to automatically install the QuoteStation application from web on your PC.

In both cases, after the installation a Shortcut Icon will appear on your desktop. Please use this icon to run the application.

By starting up the application Login dialog box appears and besides your username and password, you must enter IP address of the Proxy server, Proxy port and check in the check box.

DESCRIPTION

There are a few conditions that must be fulfilled so that application could run correctly:

Proxy server should be enabled to handle data requests, besides html requests.
User does not need be administrator
Turn off pop up blocker before starting up the application

If the error 2031, appears, the user should check the following:

Make sure that your internet connection is maintained and working correctly

Make sure that all outside connection is directed through proxy connection

Make sure that connection is enabled for port 8080 at the firewall of your local network

You will be timely informed via web site or your e-mail address about any changes or improved versions of the application. We will send you a link where you can update the application.

IMPORTATNT Before starting the application, all browsers should be closed. If application crash at IE6.0 or IE7.0 during login, we strongly recomend our users to use Firefox in order to open application. To install Firefox please click here. If Firefox is already installed on your computer besides IE, and Firefox is not your default browser, right mouse click at icon QuoteStation on your desktop or using Start menu and choose option Open with Firefox

We recomend our new users, who will use proxy application in order to get data, to log in using user name: guest password: guest. By doing this, our users will be sure that their QuoteStation application works correctly, and they can subscribe to real-time data from regional stock exchanges.
